Hi! I am Antonia from flüüs&fraanje and have been offering tufting workshops in Hamburg for the past three years. As a trained visual marketing designer, I always enjoyed working with my hands and worked a lot with colors and shapes. In recent years, I worked as an editor in the area of architecture and living and have longed for creative handwork again. I stumbled across the tufting trend on Pinterest by chance and a new hobby was born. After three years, my new passion has become my main job, with my own shop in Hamburg Eimsbüttel, where tufting workshops take place regularly.

The bright tufting studio flüüs&fraanje is located in a lively section of the Eppendorfer Weg in Hamburg Eimsbüttel — between cafés, restaurants and second-hand shops. The shop has a large window area, which invites passers-by to watch the workshop participants from outside. However, the curtains can also be closed at any time for more privacy. The area is divided into a workshop area at the front and a workshop area with a toilet behind it. The front room offers space for 6-8 participants, who can split into both rooms if required.

In the flueues&fraanje tufting workshops, you will learn how to make a rug or a tufted object using a towel machine and virgin wool. You can let your imagination run wild and let off steam creatively. You can either transfer your desired motif onto the fabric using a projector or record it by hand. We only use high-quality materials in the workshops — the virgin wool is spun and dyed in Germany and the fabrics are also produced regionally.

What is special about the flueues&fraanje tufting workshops? At the end of the workshop, everyone goes home with a fluffy unique piece in your hands! All participants are offered individual support and help during the workshop. For refreshment, there are snacks, homemade cakes and drinks such as juice spritzer, coffee, tea and sparkling water. In summer, you can also have ice cream opposite each other for a short break in between, a bakery is 100 meters away.
