About this class
In this tufting workshop, we use a hand towel machine and virgin wool to make a small wall or mini rug measuring 60x60 cm. You decide on the design and shape yourself!
In this workshop, every participant is taught the basics of toweling. The workshop takes place over two days, so you can carry out all steps from the initial idea to the finished rug yourself.
Duration: 2 days of 5-6 hours (on weekends from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

What to bring to the class
Bring a sketch of your tufted object — digitally via mail/airdrop, printed out or on a USB stick. This allows us to record them directly with the projector during the workshop.

What you’ll do in the class
Day 1
- The basics of toweling/Q&A session (30 min)
- Create a design (if you haven't already brought it) and record it on the stretched fabric (30 min)
- Tufts, tufts, tufts! (4.5 hours)
- Glue the back of the carpet (30 min)
Day 2
- Glue carpet edges on the back (30 min)
- Trim the front of the rug with a clipper (2-3 hours)
- Conceal glued carpet edge with twill tape (30 min)
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is suitable for anyone who wants to let off steam creatively. Previous technical knowledge is not necessary, but is an advantage.
