As part of a team event yesterday, we had the opportunity to try out action painting together — and it was really a lot of fun. The atmosphere was relaxed, creative and ideal for a shared team experience. We would particularly like to highlight Irene, who gave us a very warm welcome. She explained everything in an understandable way, made a lot of effort and accompanied the group in a really pleasant way. It has been noticed that it is important to her that everyone feels comfortable and enjoys the experience. It was also very transparently communicated that each additional canvas would be charged 70€. As a result, you always had an eye on the costs, which we found positive. Overall, it is not a cheap event, but from our point of view it is definitely a special experience that is worth the price. We would do the action painting again at any time and can definitely recommend it. Thanks Irene!

Unfortunately, we found the event far too expensive. It took place in a backyard garage. We would be advised to use the colors sparingly and to be careful so that we only catch the canvas. We paid 5 /350 € and in 1 hour we were done. I've done the same thing before in Berlin because it was set up in a completely different way. A lot more space and we had a lot of fun there. We were able to do that at home too.

The course instructors were very good; after a short explanation, we were able to get started and had a lot of fun with the “artist”. We can then pick up our works of art after drying for a few days - we are already looking forward to it ;-)

It was very fun in itself. We also had nice results and were adequately briefed. However, I find the course a bit expensive for the ambiance (lobby and room size). We were also advised to use certain colors sparingly, as they are more expensive than others, which in itself is no problem. But in terms of the high price tag, I found this unnecessary. Nevertheless, we had fun doing it, it is a good opportunity to let off steam.

Irene is a super lovely artist who gave us great support. We were provided with gowns and large shirts, as well as bags for the shoes and protection for the hair. The colors that are used are water-soluble and can also be easily washed off by hands. All in all, it was a lot of fun, the 1.5 hours are generous, we were done before that.

Get to know Atelier für Lebensfreude

Many ask me... and who is “Mene von Stein”?

Here is the story behind it:

I spent my childhood in Stein, near Nuremberg.

One day, an acquaintance of my mother came to visit and as it goes, he stood in front of me and asked: “What is your name then?” I answered, “Irene”... The visitor didn't understand me and said, “Mene, that's a nice name.”... I became angry, stomped on my foot and screamed: “My name is Irene!”

My siblings found it very funny and as children are, they raised me with the name “Mene”. Over time, the name grew more and more dear to me and so “Mene” became my nickname among family and friends.

Even as a child I loved to paint, sign my works of art and since I was made of stone with “Mene von Stein”

As I dedicated myself to art again, I reclaimed the name of my childhood and thus also a part of my childlike curiosity and willingness to experiment. That is also what I want for my customers: to see and discover the world through the eyes of a curious child.
