Are you interested in pottery and would like to learn how to create unique models out of clay? Then our pottery course in Cologne West is the right place for you! Learn everything you need to know about clay and make your own pretty pots in this pottery class in Cologne. In such an art class, express your creativity and create very personal objects out of clay.
The material and burning costs are included; should the amount of clay exceed 2 kg, 1.5€ per kilo would have to be paid
What is included in the pottery course?
- Find out everything you need to know about pottery
- A small snack and hot and cold drinks
- After an appointment, the work will be fired by me after a drying period of 2 weeks.
- When booking several pottery course appointments, larger works can also be carried out, which can even be placed weatherproof in the garden.
- We are happy to embellish the work with special clay paints (engobes) or shiny color glazes, but this on a second appointment, as the surface treatment has to be fired again.
Where does the pottery course take place?
The pottery course takes place in our cozy courtyard studio in a former horse stable in western Cologne in Frechen. The children can also run at the farm and it is conveniently located, parking spaces are available, and we are also easily accessible by public transport.
What you’ll do in the class
- In small groups, you have 4 hours of opportunity to dedicate yourself entirely to freehand pottery and feel the meditative effect of clay.
- We work with sound. I'll show you the building roller technique.
- We shape, knead and sculpt the clay to our heart's content!
- Bowls, vases, cups, planters and free work, including figurative objects, can be created. I am at your disposal with all the know-how I have acquired over 35 years.
- After the pottery course, I will burn the pottery for you. As soon as they are ready for collection, I will let you know and you can take your great vessels home.
