About this class
About the course:
Colored clay can be used in many different ways, but we'll learn the inlay technique. We design on a white clay plate and create our design by adding and rolling in coloured elements. From dots and lines to flowers and gardens to a self-portrait or your dog's face — anything is possible!
We work with ceramic dyes: four colors that are incorporated into the clay. We take care of all the preparations so that you can start right away with your plate or tray.

What is included in the class?
The course fee covers:
- all required materials (clay, dyes, tools, transparent glaze)
- Fire off two fires for up to three pieces. (If you want to make additional pieces, they can be fired and glazed for an additional fee of 15€ per piece)
- Personal support in a small group.

What you’ll do in the class
In this course, you'll learn:
- How clay behaves, the ceramic process and firing
- Know the dyes and our four colored tonalities
- How to roll out a clay plate — our canvas
- Prepare designs and put them on the plate
- How to turn the plate into a plate or tray with raised edges
After the course, we dry your pieces, brow them, glaze them transparently for a shiny and food-safe surface and then burn them again until our masterpieces become functional ceramic — each piece is unique!
Since this course requires a lot of space to roll out the clay plates, we limit the number of participants to four people. This creates a small group and a very special unique course.
Pick up:
Your works will be finished in about 5-7 weeks. As soon as they are ready for collection, we will notify you by email and you can drop by during opening hours. We ask you to pick them up within two months. If you can't do it yourself, feel free to send a friend over.

- 14 days before the course starts: 100% refund.
- 7 days before the course starts: no refund. Transfer to another course, if available.
- Less than 7 days before the course starts: no refund. You can send someone instead of you.
The minimum number of participants is 2, the maximum 4. If a course has less than 2 participants, we will contact you to arrange a new appointment. Our courses are for participants aged 16 and over.
