About this class
From clay to finished ceramics - Our pottery workshop “Spin, Trim & Glaze” in Munich takes you through the complete process of a cup, vase, bowl, etc. In three sessions, we will build, refine and finish your own works of art in a relaxed, creative environment.
What you’ll do in the class
Session 1: Spin (March 26, 2.5 hours)
Design as many cups, bowls, vases, or other pieces as you can on the turntable in this session.
Session 2: Trim (March 28, 2.5 hours)
As soon as the pieces are leathery, you learn how to twist. You can refine the shape, add elements, and work out details.
The pieces must then dry completely in order to be prepared for the scrub fire at 950°C.
Session 3: Glaze (April 8 or by appointment)
Time to bring the blanks to life! At the last appointment, you can give your pieces the final artistic touch with an elegant glaze.
Your work is then burnt up at over 1220°C, making it waterproof and dishwasher-safe.
