Class description
On the StadtLandTour — unterwegs scavenger hunt with Lili & Oscar through Nuremberg, you and your children will discover the medieval city in Franconia. On your own and at your own pace. If you need a break along the way, want to eat ice cream or visit the exciting museum along the way, then go ahead! The aim of the scavenger hunt is not only to guess the answer, but also to spend a nice and entertaining day with your children. And maybe on the way to learn a bit about the people of Nuremberg, the famous painter Albrecht Dürer and the history of the city.
The route: Your scavenger hunt starts at the museum bridge. It continues through the old town from attraction to attraction and you end at Platz am Tiergärtnertor. The perfect place to recharge your batteries after your tour and discuss your experiences together. At which stations do you stop along the way? Well, there must also be a bit of surprise.
Start and meeting point: You will be given directions in the scavenger hunt box on the game instructions.
PLEASE NOTE
The scavenger hunt box will be sent to you by post. This usually takes at least 2-4 working days within Germany.
You only need 1 ticket per group (1—8 people), if you have more people, we recommend buying two or more tickets. You can carry out the scavenger hunt at any time and you are not bound to the date and time you chose when booking.
How does this activity work?
How does the scavenger hunt work? You will receive our scavenger hunt box by post — to your home or directly to your hotel in Nuremberg. It contains everything you need for the scavenger hunt. You should bring your own pen. But that's when you're ready to go! The first map contains instructions with the starting point and directions. Once there, you open the first envelope, which contains information and further instructions. Envelope by envelope, you will get from station to station in stages. A total of 8 stations await you, where you can learn something about the respective tourist attraction, do tasks and activities and move around the city in a completely relaxed way.
The special thing about the scavenger hunt: The highlight is Lili & Oscar. The two lovingly illustrated mascots are your guides through the tour. The two true Nurembergs tell you a lot about the nature of Bavaria and give you fun facts and secret insider knowledge about their city. Always with a wink and a (more or less) good joke on the lips to keep all family members happy. Speaking of lips: You can certainly learn a bit of Bavarian on the go. Because the StadtLandTour — scavenger hunts along the way are bursting with local color and dialect. We tried to capture the essence of the city in the box. You will see that you have rarely gone on a sightseeing tour with your children so quickly and in a good mood!
Bonus rounds: On your way through Nuremberg's old town, you'll pass beautiful places that aren't covered in the scavenger hunt. Along the way, we'll give you tips on what's worth seeing along the way — and you'll then decide spontaneously whether you want to start the scavenger hunt for a visit to a museum, a playground or in the park, or whether you want to finish playing right away.
At the end, of course, there is a surprise waiting for you. Assuming you've solved all the puzzles and figured out the answer. But don't worry about failure! Lili&Oskar will of course give you helpful tips along the way.
A few things on our own behalf: The scavenger hunt is not an extensive city guide. It takes you to the most beautiful places in Nuremberg, gives information and tips, encourages you to see and participate and wants to inspire and entertain first and foremost. We would like you to look at the city of Nuremberg from different eyes with the two funny mascots Lili & Oscar, get to know a bit about the nature of the people of Nuremberg and see a few things that might inspire you to think and read further. Because we have tried to pack the essence of the city of Nuremberg into the box. That's why you can expect not only stupid sightseeing knowledge in the boxes, but also a wide potpourri of puzzles, jokes, language, local color and maybe even typical Bavarian humor.
The boxes are made of metal. Simply because it is much more stable and protects the cards, should it rain or the box fall off. To make the whole thing more sustainable, we recommend that you reuse the boxes later. As a pen box, for example. Or as a souvenir box for your trip to Nuremberg, in which you can store tickets, photos and notes.
Who should definitely take part?
Who are the scavenger hunts for? For children aged 7 to 14 years For families who want to discover Nuremberg and for Nurembergs who want to show their children their beautiful city. As a gift for grandma and grandpa who want to discover Nuremberg with their grandchildren and for the favorite aunt and godfather who want to experience something together with the children. For everyone who likes puzzles and wants to experience Nuremberg beyond the playground and ice cream parlour.

StadtLandTour – unterwegs
The idea of creating scavenger hunts for children through cities was born out of our own need when we only saw the playground again on the city trip with the children. The scavenger hunts give you information about the sights and motivate the children to go along.
