About this Tour

Discover Nuremberg's medieval old town with your children — one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Germany. On your own and at your own pace. If you need a break along the way, want to eat an original Nuremberg bratwurst or want to explore the city wall for a longer period of time, then go ahead! The aim of the scavenger hunt is not only to guess the answer, but also to spend a nice and entertaining day with your children. And perhaps on the way to learn something about Nuremberg's history, medieval life and famous artists such as Albrecht Dürer.

The route: Your scavenger hunt starts at the Frauentor, one of the historic city gates. The GPS map on your smartphone takes you through Nuremberg's medieval alleys — past the Nassau House and Holy Spirit Hospital to the main market square with the Frauenkirche, up to the imposing Old Town Hall and the mighty Kaiserburg. Then it's off to the famous Albrecht Dürer House, through the picturesque Weißgerbergasse along the city wall. You end at the historic executioner's tower with a view of the Pegnitz. The perfect place to recharge your batteries after your tour and discuss your shared experiences. At which stations do you stop along the way? Well, there must also be a bit of surprise.

Start and meeting point: You will receive an email with your personal access link directly after booking.

PLEASE NOTE

The digital scavenger hunt is available immediately after booking — simply open the link and get started! No waiting, no delivery time.

You only need 1 ticket per group (1—5 people), if you have more people, we recommend that you buy two or more tickets. The ticket is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase — you can carry out the scavenger hunt at any time and are not bound to the date you chose when booking.

The quest works directly in the browser — no app installation required! All you need is a smartphone with an Internet connection and GPS.

Steps of the tour

1. Instant access After booking, you will receive an email with your personal access link within a few minutes. Simply open the link, choose the language (German, English, Russian, Ukrainian) — and off you go! Optional: Add a link to the home screen for quick access.

2. Start at the Frauentor Make your way to the Frauentor with its impressive city wall. The GPS map shows you exactly where you are and guides you to the starting point. Once there, start the first stop and get to know Vega, Cosmo and Cupcake — your digital companions through medieval Nuremberg! Listen to the audio narration or read the text on the screen.

3. From station to station The GPS map automatically takes you to the next medieval landmark. A total of 12 stations await you — at each one you can hear exciting information about Nuremberg's history and famous personalities, solve interactive puzzles directly on your smartphone and complete fun tasks.

4. At your own pace You move around the city in a completely relaxed way — only 250 meters between stations on average, perfect for small legs! Do you need a break? Do you want to eat an original Nuremberg bratwurst or enjoy the view from the Kaiserburg? No problem! Your progress is saved automatically. Just close your browser and pick up later—right where you left off.

After the adventure: screenshots of special moments? Do you take pictures at the Kaiserburg and in the half-timbered houses? These memories will last forever! You can repeat the quest as often as you like within the 6-month validity period.
