About this class
Spend a creative and relaxing evening/afternoon in a cozy atmosphere and create a very personal gift for Mother's Day — or simply a wonderful piece of decoration for your home. In this workshop, you will combine the popular macrame knotting technique with the natural beauty of dried flowers to create your flower loop.
At the beginning, you will receive an introduction to the basics of macrame. Step by step, we'll show you the most important knot and the technology so that even beginners can easily join in. You then design your own loop ring and give it your own personal style with various dried flowers, grasses and floral elements.
You can let your creativity run wild — whether minimalistic, playful or colorful. In the end, you'll take home a unique, handmade piece of work that is perfect as a lovely Mother's Day gift or gives your home a special accent.
All materials are provided, of course. During the workshop, you will also have small snacks and drinks available so that you can feel completely at ease.
What you’ll do in the class
After arriving at the Werkraum, you can first arrive in a relaxed atmosphere, grab a drink and be inspired. All materials are already ready for you, so you can get creative right away.
At the beginning of the workshop, you will receive a brief introduction to the world of macrame. You will get to know the most important basic node, which we will then apply together step by step. Don't worry, no previous experience is required — we'll guide you at your pace and support you at any time.
The next step is to start with your own flower loop. First, tie your macrame element to the metal ring and gradually develop the structure of your design. Then we'll focus on the creative part with the dried flowers: You choose your favorites from various materials and learn how to tie and fasten them harmoniously.
There will be enough time throughout the workshop to ask questions, exchange ideas and let your creativity run wild. Small snacks and drinks are available for you and create an all-round pleasant workshop atmosphere.
At the end of the course, you will have your finished, individual flower loop in your hands — a truly unique piece that you can take home straight away.
