About this class

In this 2-day cutlery course in Berlin, you will learn the basics of traditional blacksmithing step by step. The course is aimed specifically at beginners and teaches you all the important techniques to make functional knives yourself.

On the first day, you will forge a training knife out of mild steel and train basic forging techniques as well as grinding on a belt sander. On the second day, you implement your own design and forge another knife from high-quality spring steel or tool steel. You sharpen, harden and finish your blades — you usually take home two finished knives.
