About this class
Welcome to Cuba, the pearl of the Antilles. On this island, rum is still one of the most important protagonists in its long history.
What is the process?
In the first part of the rum tasting, we'll take you on the trail of sugar cane. You will discover its origin from molasses via Aguardiente to Anejo. We will also travel in taste from the hills of Santiago de Cuba to the faraway metropolis of Havana and show you the diversity and exoticism of Cuban Spanish style rum.
In general, you will receive eight different rum samples to sip on and taste three delicious, traditional rum cocktails. During the spirits trip, we take a culinary break and fortify ourselves with an original Cuban tapas platter.
In the second part, we'll get your taste buds into full swing with the variety of rum styles that Cuba offers. From delicious elixir to highly aromatic cask strengths to rum that has been stored for 15 years. The various Cuban rums are as diverse and lively as the country. Because they all carry Cuba's humid and hot climate in their DNA.
Who is the tasting suitable for?
The tasting is suitable for anyone who is interested in the different types of rum from Cuba. It doesn't matter whether you are already a lover or this is your first tasting. Of course, you must have reached the age of 18.
