About this class
Here, your kids discover clay at their own pace and playfully get to know its texture and properties. With our help, they implement their ideas and express their creativity.
During the summer course, your kids will learn the basics of building by hand during the first three days:
- Thumbprint technology
- Beading technology
- plate technology
- Working with wood and plaster molds
Every morning, we address a topic and introduce the appropriate technology in an age-appropriate way. In addition, the kids work freely on their own ideas, which we support.
On the fourth day, we finish all the workpieces and color them with engobes. Your kids try out different techniques:
- painting
- stamping
- Sgrafitto
The engobes are non-toxic and safe to use. We then burn and glaze the workpieces. After around four weeks, they are ready for collection, ready for use and dishwasher-safe.

What you’ll do in the class
- The meeting point is in the studio at 10:30 a.m. on four days.
- You'll make pottery together until 1 p.m.
- Snacks and drinks are available.
- When the weather is nice, you can also use the quiet courtyard.
Who is the class suitable for?
The Clay Camp is suitable for kids aged 8 and over. You don't need any previous knowledge.

From summer 26, there will be us twice in Berlin:) Our studio in Neukölln is located in the middle of Reuterkiez and in Mitte you will find us at the Alte Münze. In both studios, there is a selection of our ceramics, insights into our production and you can take part in pottery courses or events.
