About this class
Discover ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, in a modern and free interpretation. In this creative workshop in Munich, you will work intuitively with flowers, branches, fruit and vegetables and create expressive arrangements between floral art and sculptural design from natural materials. The Sogetsu philosophy forms the basis of our work — free, creative and open to all materials.
After a brief introduction to the history and philosophy of ikebana, you will experiment with form, balance, movement and emptiness and develop your own minimalistic compositions with a modern, artistic character. Floral works full of peace, excitement and expression are created in a relaxed atmosphere.
