About this class
In this course, you will get a first insight into the modern form of calligraphy: hand lettering. This requires neither great previous knowledge nor expensive tools.
I'll explain the most important basics to create great greeting cards with your own congratulations, quotes and sayings.
Together, we learn various forms of writing (monoline, fake calligraphy, brush lettering) so that each participant can bring their own work of art — the composition — as a greeting card at the end.
I will also show you various additional elements with which you can embellish your greeting cards: banners, shades, frames and decorative elements.
As you design your greeting card, I will respond to your questions and ideas individually — the course is deliberately limited to a few participants so that I can take enough time for each of you.
After the course, in addition to the exercise sheets, you will also receive digital documents for reference.
The course is particularly suitable for beginners who want to learn about hand lettering for the first time.

What you’ll do in the class
I'll first introduce you to three different fonts — we'll look at how to implement them together. After each font, there is a small round of exercises so that you can put what you have learned directly into practice. In the end, we create a beautiful greeting card — here you can let your creativity run wild. In most cases, the participants create completely different greeting cards.
