Report, city, landscape, portrait — for beginners and advanced users. You'll learn manual camera settings (aperture, time, ISO), image design and image editing with Gimp or PS Elements. The focus is individually tailored to you.

What to bring to the class
Please bring your camera (DSLR or system camera), smartphone or tablet and definitely paper and pencil. Optional: laptop with image processing program for image processing directly on site.
What is included in the class?
Free WiFi access is available during the workshop.
The workshop takes place on the grounds of the Feinkost Art and Industry Cooperative — centrally in Leipzig and surrounded by a creative, historic atmosphere. A comprehensive learning package awaits you:
- Intensive practical workshop with personal support in small groups
- Individual feedback on your pictures including portfolio and exhibition advice

- Introduction to manual camera settings: aperture, shutter speed, ISO
- Understanding light, exposure, and white balance for better image control
- Image design and composition techniques: rule of thirds, lines, perspectives and image section
- Individual focus: portrait, reportage, still life or nature photography
- Practical photo exercises indoors and outdoors: creative use of existing motifs
- Image selection and the basics of digital post-processing with Gimp or Photoshop Elements
- Feedback round on image impact, tips for improving and building a personal portfolio
