Expressive painting in the Sound and Color studio in Dresden — a workshop for beginners to try out and for repeat painters
What to expect when painting your printout in Dresden
By playing sensually with gouache paints, brushes, spatulas, sponges and bare hands on large-format sheets of paper on the painting wall, you express yourself creatively and follow your inner impulses.
During this painting season, you embark on a journey to your inner colors and feelings. Mindfulness exercises and meditative singing bowls help you to move from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to focus on the painting wall.
The printmaking period takes place in my studio Sound and Color in Dresden. The painting takes place in a confidential atmosphere with 3 to 6 people.
What is expression painting?
Expressive painting is free, intuitive painting — value-free, open-ended and focused entirely on the painting process. You play with paints, brushes, spatulas and your own hands. You are completely with yourself, in the here and now. This is how you lovingly perceive your feelings and give them space. You bring joy or anger, lightness or heaviness to paper. In the end, there is a liberating feeling of reconciliation and your image as a testimony to your process.
As a painting guide, I will accompany you sensitively and support you with your process and your pictures.

What you’ll do in the class
The beginning of a meal is to arrive and switch off from everyday life. This can be, for example, a short sound meditation with singing bowls. Then each participant starts painting, pasting, filling, experimenting... each on their own, at their painting place, on their painting. As a painting guide, I will support and guide you as needed. Together, we'll round off the painting season with a small final round.
Who is the class suitable for?
Expressive painting is open to all interested people, as no previous artistic knowledge is required. You are welcome, regardless of whether you think you can't paint, whether you simply want to play with color or whether you want to get closer to yourself through the painting process.
This course is aimed at adults and, where appropriate, young people after consultation.
I offer children's painting for children. When booking a private event, children and adults can paint together.
