Class description
A photographic journey through Berlin's modern center. Get to know architectural photography from its emotional, sometimes even abstract side.
With a telephoto lens and wide angle, we set off on the hunt for spectacular perspectives and graphic-looking details. Designing with the gradual onset of evening light up to the blue hour helps to capture what is special about a façade.
How does this activity work?
How does the photo course in Berlin work?
There are futuristic and unusual buildings along the route, which we will visually explore in peace and quiet. I will help you to work out perspectives and details and explain the basics of image design, how to deal with falling lines and various creative techniques.
The topics & content of the photo course:
- Introduction to “emotional” architectural photography (as opposed to purely technical)
- Image composition and structure
- Perspective and point of view as a means of design
- The effect of different focal lengths
- Pol-filter: effectively control reflections
The focus of this workshop is not on the technically accurate reproduction of a building, but on taking sophisticated and interesting architectural photos with non-specialized camera equipment. And the most important thing: to have lots of fun doing it! :)
We not only want to practice and optimize how to use our own camera, but also sharpen our “photographic vision” and take time to consciously build up images. Always true to the motto: take pictures instead of taking pictures!
Who should definitely take part?
Who is the photo course in Berlin suitable for?
The course is suitable for beginners as well as advanced users who want to get even more out of their photos.
In this photo workshop, the individual support of each individual participant is very important to me. You'll be picked up right where you are — both on the creative and technical side.
