Class description
Photographing in the blue hour and at night has its own fascination, but also brings with it certain technical challenges — and completely new creative opportunities. This photo workshop on night photography and long exposure photography gives you all the know-how you need to create breathtaking pictures at night.
How is the photo course designed?
You will learn both the technical basics of long exposure photography as well as creative exposure techniques and tricks that can make your shots even more exciting and unusual. Among other things, I'll show you how to smooth water surfaces, create light trails and how to optimally stage the colors of the night.
A short introduction to the spectacular ICM technique (Intentional Camera Movement, i.e. the intended movement of the camera during exposure) and a trip to light painting give you even more options for creative image creation.
Be inspired and bring the night lights to life!
What do we learn in the photo course?
- Basics of long exposure and night photography

Where are we going to shoot?
On this joint journey through Salzburg's city center, we visit well-known and lesser-known places where you can play wonderfully photographically with light and shadow. The special atmosphere of the blue hour, lights and reflections in the water and illuminated building facades in Salzburg at night are waiting for us to explore photographically.
Who is the photo course suitable for?
In this photo workshop, the individual support of each individual participant is very important to me. You'll be picked up right where you are — both on the creative and technical side.
Together, we try out perspectives and techniques, always looking for new image ideas and exciting motifs to experiment with.
No previous experience is necessary - the photo course is suitable for both beginners and advanced users.
