About this class
Using soap, warm water and special needles, we use soap, warm water and special needles to felt small or large, colorful or natural-colored, monochrome plates from so-called fairytale wool. This is how landscapes, cloud images, flower dreams or marbling are created. In the second step, you can use these felt sheets as pillows, as a wall picture or as further processed, e.g. as a book cover, headband or herb bag.
Felted wool warms very well, and the effect of the fine threads creates a beautiful watercolor character when layered.
With natural or colorful paints, you first create panels when wet felting. Add small elements such as flowers with needle felting. In the next step, you will develop from two-dimensional to three-dimensional work. You can make a felt basket from one piece - the felt plate becomes a mold. Or you connect elements with needle and thread, for example to make flowers from colorful plates into plastic shapes. Pearls and similar accessories create a nice aesthetic contrast with the dullness of the felted surface.
