What you’ll do in the class
Arrive & exhale
You arrive at our shop studio in Hamburg and can take a deep breath. A welcome drink awaits you — either prosecco, water or juice. In a relaxed atmosphere, we start with a short introduction to the workshop process and give you an overview of what to expect.
Introduction to materials & basics
You will then learn about Keraflott as a versatile casting material: its properties, the right mixing ratio and the basics for a clean result. We talk about pigments, color effects and design techniques such as coloring, marbling or a fine speckle look. Everything is explained step by step — clearly, calmly and without pressure.
Design & cast
Now the creative part starts. You touch your material yourself, color it according to your ideas and create your own design tray or decorative element — pure and minimal, gently colored or with a delicate structure. I will accompany you individually and support you at every stage of the work so that you can design safely and with pleasure.
Curing & short break
As your workpieces harden, there is a moment to breathe deeply. Serve yourself at the snack bar, enjoy your drink, exchange ideas or let the creative atmosphere work on you. Perhaps you will also take time to discover the special design pieces in the studio in peace and quiet.
Demoulding & fine grinding
Finally, we unmold your pieces and put the finishing touches on them. Edges are smoothed out, surfaces are carefully finished — until your object gets its calm, clear appearance.
You go home not just with one, but with several — usually around three — unique pieces of your own design, each depending on size, technology and design effort. In addition, you will gain valuable knowledge of how to use Keraflott safely and creatively.

Elblys
I'm Janina from Elblys. My workshops in Hamburg create unique personal pieces — modern, creative and with character. A creative break that lasts.
I took part in a workshop at Elblys and had a really good time. The instructions were easy to understand. We were guided step by step. I had no experience and felt that I was in very good hands. I quickly dared to work independent...
