Experience the Caribbean Rum Tasting and join us on an unforgettable trip to the Greater Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Dive into the heart of Caribbean sugar cane together with THE SPIRITISTS and discover the fascinating world of rum.
In the first part of our expedition, we will take you to Cuba, the motherland of Spanish style rum. Immerse yourself in the history and unmistakable atmosphere of this Caribbean pearl, which is decisively shaped by the molasses-based rum culture. One of the charming neighboring islands, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Caribbean,” is Puerto Rico. As a US territory and headquarters of the renowned rum brand Bacardi, this Caribbean island offers a fascinating mix of culture, history and rum tradition.
In the second part of the Caribbean Rum Tasting, we take you to Hispaniola, the island with the two rum hearts. Experience the diversity of Spanish Style Rum in the Dominican Republic and the unique French Agricole Rhum in Haiti. This is made from pure sugar cane juice.
Our crowning finale takes us to Jamaica. The island is the El Dorado of British rum production, which has shaped the world with its unique funk.

What is included in the Caribbean Rum Tasting in Cologne?
At the beginning, you will receive a delicious Aperetivo. During the tasting, we will try 8 different rums from Cuba, as well as three classic rum cocktails. You will also receive a lot of interesting background information.
In between, there is a culinary break with various tapas. The respective partner location prepares a selection of delicious dishes from the current menu card.
To neutralize taste, bread, salt, oil & water are of course always available.
