What is more exciting than seeing essential oil dripping out of a still cooler? To see how you can capture the precious essence yourself from scented plant material. In our Distillation Workshop I, you will experience this under the professional guidance of a chemist. This is the only way you can really find out what is important and how to capture and mature beguiling fragrance essences. This first seminar focuses on the extraction of essential oils using various distillation plants made of steel or copper and how to use them to produce high-quality end products. You will learn everything you need to know about theory and practice so that you can work at home yourself later and extract the valuable droplets of oil from the herbs. Storage, maturation and shelf life are further topics that we will deepen together. Together, we prepare various plant materials for processing and show you how to distill essential oils from your own garden all year round. All participants receive samples of the oils produced on the distillation day. In addition, we look at the possible uses of the obtained oils and mix various recipes from them, such as deodorant or lotion.
