studio knot is a textile workshop and creative experience in Stuttgart, founded by Nora, design and textile engineer. After several years in the international textile industry, the desire arose to combine design, craftsmanship and one's own creativity more closely again. This is how Studio Knot was created in 2025 — a place where unique textile items are created from ideas with your own hands.

The focus is on tufting: a versatile textile technique that can be used to design carpets, wall paintings, seat cushions and other objects. It's not just about making something beautiful, but above all about the creative process and the experience of working with material, color and form yourself. No previous knowledge is required — the entire process is accompanied from the motivation idea to the finished workpiece.

The location

The studio is centrally located in Stuttgart and combines workshop, design studio and cozy meeting place. The equipment is completely geared towards textile workshops: tufting guns, frames, yarns in numerous colors and all other required materials are available on site. Drinks and small snacks create a relaxed atmosphere in which even longer workshops can be made pleasant.

Depending on the format, smaller groups of up to 6 people can tuft together. Individual workshop formats are being developed for larger groups.

Workshops & events

The special thing about the workshops is the combination of professional guidance and maximum creative freedom. Each person develops their own design and decides on colors, shapes and design for themselves. In the end, the result is not a ready-made souvenir, but a truly unique item that the participants design themselves and take home with them.

In addition to classic tufting workshops, there are shorter formats such as Punch Needle and intensive workshops in which larger carpets or other textile objects are created. The workshops are suitable for beginners as well as for anyone who already has experience with creative techniques.

Private & individual events

studio knot offers individual events for JGAs, birthdays, friends, company and team events as well as special private events. On request, workshops can also take place directly at another venue.

What makes the events special: It's not just the group that experiences a creative afternoon or evening together — each person creates their own piece of work. Alternatively, joint large-scale projects are also possible, in which a group works together on a single motif.

For example, an event at Studio Knot combines creative experimentation, shared experience and a personal result that will remember the day spent together for a long time to come.
