About us

Welcome to Schmiedeville — your open goldsmith workshop in the middle of Cologne! ✨

We are a journeyman goldsmith and a master goldsmith and worked together as employees for many years before we fulfilled our dream of having our own open workshop.

With us, you can discover the world of goldsmithing for yourself, get creative and make unique pieces of jewelry with your own hands. Whether you're a beginner or already with experience — we're all about trying things out, doing things and having fun.

Our workshop

There are nine fully equipped workstations available in our cozy workshop. Here you can saw, file, drill, solder, forge and even laser.

From the initial idea to the finished piece of jewelry, you will experience the entire creation process yourself. You work with genuine goldsmiths and go home with a unique homemade item — and of course you can wear it straight away. ✨

For breaks, there are cold drinks, coffee, snacks and a cozy sitting area. And of course, good music is also a must.

Our workshops

Every second Saturday, our workshop is transformed into a creative workshop space.

In just a few hours, you will implement your own jewelry project and at the end you will take your homemade piece of jewelry straight home. There are also snacks, a delicious beer or something similar and the best music.

Private events

Would you like to experience something special with your friends, family or team?

Our workshop can also be booked exclusively for private groups. Whether it's a birthday, a bachelorette party, a team event or simply a creative evening with your favorite people — together we will create your very own piece of jewelry.

We will design the event to suit your group and guide you step by step through the project. Of course, this also includes drinks, snacks and a relaxed atmosphere.

A shared experience in which each person takes home something homemade at the end. 💍

After Work Forging

Every Thursday from 5 pm to 9 pm, you can come to our workshop after work and work on your very personal project of the heart.

Do you already have a specific idea or would you simply like to try out what you can make from metal? We support you step by step with the implementation.

Beginner course

You've never worked in a goldsmith's workshop? No problem!

In our eight-part beginner course, you will learn the most important basics of goldsmithing. You saw, file, drill, solder and forge while making your own pieces of jewelry.

No previous knowledge, no pressure to perform — just try it out, learn and do.

In the end, you not only go home with new skills, but also with your very own unique pieces.
