I am Kasia. With Retro Kreativ, I offer textile workshops in Augsburg, Aichach and Munich: tufting, crocheting, sewing and upholstery.

It all started when I wanted to hold something in my hands in the evening instead of a display. A borrowed tufting gun became a rug, the carpet became workshops. Today I'm showing others how to make something out of wool and fabric that you've made yourself and can keep.

One thing is important to me: Nobody goes home with half a project. At the end of each workshop, you pick up something finished — not just a start and good resolutions.

Location

I don't have a fixed studio. My workshops take place in various partner rooms, including N8RAUM in Augsburg, Simple Claywork in Aichach and Tante Änne in Munich.

I bring tools and materials: tufting guns, frames, six sewing machines, thread and fabric. Depending on the technology and space, I work with four to eight people. The small groups are intentional — when it comes to tufting, sewing and upholstery, you need someone who not only explains everything at the beginning, but is also available throughout the workshop.

Classes and events

• Let's Tuft — In four hours, you can create your own rug measuring 40 × 50 cm. Send me your design first. I'll check whether it can be implemented within the time available and transfer it to the material for you so that you can start the workshop right away.
• Let's Crochet — A crochet hook, thick textile thread and about three hours. In the end, your self-crocheted bag hangs on your shoulder. Take the crochet hook and pattern home so you can get on with it.
• Let's sew — We start with the first stitches on paper. Then sew a scrunchie and a zipped cosmetic bag. Six sewing machines are available.
• Let's Tuft & Cushions — A whole day for a bigger project: First you tuft your own cover, then you use it to upholster a stool. In the end, you take home a piece of furniture that you can actually sit on afterwards.

All workshops are suitable for beginners. You don't need any previous experience. Materials and tools are included in the price, as are snacks and drinks. From the age of 14, you can participate alone, from the age of 12 accompanied by a parent. The workshops are available in German, English or Polish.

Team events and private events

Birthdays, hen parties and team events are available upon request.

There is nothing to win and nothing to present at these appointments. Everyone sits at a table, works with their hands and talks to each other in the process. In the end, everyone picks up something that they've made themselves and can keep. It sticks much longer than an escape room.

I can also come to your rooms when there is enough space, tables and electricity. Just tell me how many you are and which project you would like to do.
