Patchwork family - learn to live and love!
Get to know MYMO
MYMO is a place that makes growth possible. My name is Maria Krause, I am 43 years old I am a psychotherapeutic healer and has worked professionally in coaching and personal development for many years. I have been living in a patchwork family for 12 years now. Together with my husband and our four children, we experience every day how challenging, lively, sometimes chaotic — but above all how valuable and loving this special family model can be.
A patchwork family doesn't just happen overnight. It grows slowly. With lots of conversations, misunderstandings, small successes, tears, compromises and a whole lot of heart. It is precisely these personal experiences that shape our work and our workshop “Living and Loving a Patchwork Family”. In order to be able to authentically illuminate both a father and a mother's point of view, my husband and I will organize this workshop together.
We know from our own experience how important it is to give children security, love and understanding in all these changes. Children need the feeling of being seen and heard — especially when family structures change. At the same time, we have learned how important respectful treatment of the ex-partner is for the entire family climate. The focus should not be on old injuries, but on the well-being of children.
But even one's own partnership must not be lost in the midst of everyday family life. Between organization, responsibility and the different needs of all family members, love as a couple often falls by the wayside. That is why it is very important to us to encourage people to consciously be there for each other again and to grow together in a strong, loving relationship.
In our workshop, we not only want to impart knowledge, but above all to create understanding, give hope and show: A patchwork family doesn't have to be perfect to be happy. Especially in their colorfulness, their challenges and their diversity, there is an incredible amount of strength, warmth and love.
Our goal is to help families find their very own path — with more ease, mutual respect and the trust that many individual stories can create a real home.
The workshop will take place in the MYMO premises at Seeburger Straße 10 in 13581 Berlin. Two rooms are available in the health center of Kontor-Spandau. The large workshop room can accommodate up to 8 participants.
MYMO can be reached by public transport in about 10 minutes from S+U-Bahn station Spandau. The BVG bus stops right in front of the building. If you want to travel by car, you also have the option of parking in the courtyard of the building or on public roads on the street.
