Design with mosaic - craft meets design
Get to know MoDesign
My path to art began with an early fascination for color, haptics and a preference for expressionism. Antoni Gaudí's visionary architecture in Barcelona finally marked the turning point that led me to mosaic art. After studying design and working as a graphic designer for several years, I founded my own label “MoDesign” in 2010 to consciously dedicate myself to mosaic art. With my training at the Mosaic Building School Dortmund, I have professionalized my craft. My current portfolio includes the design and implementation of individual mosaic works, the implementation of courses and school projects, and the implementation of mosaic art in public spaces.
Location: My workshop studio is located in Hamburg Wandsbek in the basement of a beautiful old city villa. Here are two work rooms, a break/exhibition room, and a separate warehouse. Course capacities: Flexible group sizes of 4 to 8 people in the course room, expandable to up to 12 participants by using both work rooms.
Combining creativity and craft: My courses and events offer a unique symbiosis of art and craft. After a well-founded introduction to the variety of materials and the professional use of the tools, participants can start right away. In addition to the basics of craftsmanship, I teach essential design techniques. I personally accompany every event and provide individual assistance to achieve high-quality mosaic results.
Team building - creating great things together: In mosaic, every detail counts — and in a team, every member counts. Only when all elements work together harmoniously can a coherent overall picture be created. My team events challenge and promote communication, coordination and collaborative work. The joint artisanal and creative implementation brings you together: The emotional sense of achievement of having created a genuine, lasting work of art in the end connects your employees far beyond the workshop.
