About us — Michler's wine experiences

For us, wine is an experience for all senses and a wonderful opportunity to bring people together. That is exactly our mission. We want to make enjoyment understandable, entertaining and memorable, for wine novices as well as for true connoisseurs.

Our passion has its origins in sensory research. Founder Dr. Steffen Michler is a lecturer in sensors, oenology and viticulture at Heilbronn University and was named the best German wine expert in 2002 by the magazine “Der Feinschmecker”. For over 20 years, he has combined scientific know-how with genuine pleasure, explaining even complex relationships in such a way that everyone can have a say.

An entire team stands for this:

• Dr. Steffen Michler, owner and recognized expert in sensory technology and pleasure
• Janina Huber, German Wine Queen 2014/15, presenter and wine academic. She brings international experience from WSET training and the BASF wine cellar and presents charmingly in German and English.
• Michael Schneiderfritz, our wine shop manager. He grew up in his parents' winery, studied in Geisenheim and is a specialist in practice, from the vine to the terroir.
• Christina Michler, our manager. It keeps an overview and ensures that everything runs smoothly and that you feel completely comfortable.

Location

Our fixed seminar dates take place in the “House of Good Wines”. There you can try in our attractive seminar rooms in our over 150-year-old commercial building and are surrounded by a wide selection of selected wines. The location is equipped with the latest presentation technology. We can accommodate up to 25 people.

Would you like to book your own event at your desired location? No problem: We will also come to you, to the office, to the hotel, to the event location of your choice or even on a wine hike directly into the vineyards.

Classes and events

Here you don't just drink wine, you experience it with all your senses. Our thematic wine tastings combine in-depth knowledge with exciting infotainment. You'll learn why a wine tastes the way it tastes, what role vines and terroir play, and how your own senses work.

The special thing about it is that our speakers are true professionals from science, viticulture and moderation. They convey their knowledge in an entertaining way, with many surprising details and without a raised index finger. So you're not only going home with new favorite wines, but also with aha moments that you're guaranteed to share. On request, the events can also be held in English.

Team events and private events

Yes, I'd love to! Whether it's a company party, customer event, birthday or bachelor party: We design your event according to your wishes and at the location you choose.

For teams, for example, our sensory battle is particularly popular. In doing so, groups play against each other, test their senses and strengthen cohesion at the same time. This creates a real team spirit with lots of fun and competitive spirit.

What makes us unique is our ability to creatively and sensitively integrate your topics, products or services into the event. As a result, every event is individual, authentic and will be remembered for a long time.

Does your team work at different locations? We also bring together spatially separated groups online and strengthen the sense of community with original formats.
