An unbelievably successful day!!! Even after the preliminary talks, I was sure that our youngest's birthday party would be a success - how great it really was then... Chapeau Mrs. Metzger simply does it with so much commitment, heart and expertise - just great! Your colleague (Nana?) Is in no way inferior to her and so it was a unique, educational, exciting and all-round successful birthday event for a pack of second-graders! The adults will certainly come back without the offspring! THANK YOU

I can only highly recommend a glass fusing course with Gabriele. It is simply great what is created in a short time and is extremely fun. I can only say: I wasn't there for the last time.:)

I was there with a children's birthday party (girl - 14 years) and what was created there with expert advice/assistance was really great! Gabi Metzger is very patient, nice and well organized. I also “stuck” and attended another course and also the open workshop. It's great that something like this still exists! Go back there..

Glass fusing — an adventure with very good workshop guidance from the dedicated owner, Mrs. Metzger. High addictive potential :o)!

Get to know LICHTWERK GLAS

Light is my guide, which is why the workshop is called LICHTWERK GLAS.
To this day, my work is characterized by years of training and working in the large German glass design workshops and the experience I gained in studios in England and France. My duties included supervising artists and carrying out their mostly sacred designs. Through several practical semesters at the University of Applied Arts in Paris, I deepened my craft skills in the field of stained glass. I was particularly moved by the unique opportunity to be involved in the restoration of the windows of the Saint Chapel in Paris and the Chartes Cathedral in Atelier Gaudin.
In 2003 I decided to go my own way with a small workshop. In 2005 I started working on glass fusing. This led to areas such as glass design and my teaching activities. In order to also carry out larger projects, I founded the agency “Kunst am Bau” in 2011. At the beginning of 2015, I united the two under one roof at LICHTWERK GLAS.
