1. Long presentation — Who are we and what is our mission?
We are Marcella and Svenja and together we design the upcycling label JIMMI WOW. We are passionate about high-quality materials and creative craftsmanship. We are particularly fond of cashmere: a wonderful, durable material, which unfortunately far too much is sorted out and thrown away. We believe that it is not always necessary to produce something new when so much valuable is already available. That's why we turn old cashmere sweaters into new favorites.
With our workshops, we want to pass on our enthusiasm for materials and craftsmanship. We want to show how much joy it is to get creative yourself, make things with your own hands and give new value to existing materials.
2nd location — Where do the workshops take place?
Our workshops take place in our cozy studio in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The studio is located in a former corner bar, where we also work ourselves and implement our ideas. It is a creative, personal place where people sew, design and try things out together.
Depending on the course offerings, we can accommodate around three to five participants. Sewing machines, materials and tools are available for the workshops.
3. Courses and events — What makes our courses special?
Our workshops combine upcycling, sustainability and craft learning. Together, we transform old cashmere sweaters into new accessories such as headbands and caps, or design hot water bottle covers and patchwork pillowcases. We also offer repair & care workshops in which we repair and creatively embellish clothes together.
The special thing: Everyone creates their own unique piece and learns new techniques in the process. We guide participants step by step. No previous experience is necessary — the joy of trying things out counts!
4. Team events and private events
We also offer workshops for private groups, such as children's birthday parties and youth groups. Together, we create new favorites such as bags and pencil cases from old textiles. The small groups provide personal attention and plenty of space for your own ideas and creativity.
