Get to know Henok Space
After graduating in 2009, I helped found a unique artist collective in Ethiopia called Netsa Art Village, along with 10 other Ethiopian artists. This collective is dedicated to presenting experimental artworks and connecting the community with local and international art practices. I have exhibited my artwork and performed at various international venues, including Hamburger Bahnhof, Museum für Moderne Kunst, Deutsches Kulturinstitut Addis Ababa, Berlin Kühl Hause, Asni Gallery, Alliance Ethio-Française, Leipzig International Art Residency Program (LIAP), British Council Dare Salaam, Kunsthall Oslo, and others. I have also participated in various art workshops, residencies, and festivals internationally. Since 2017, I have been living in Berlin, Germany, where I continue to experiment and develop my work in my studio.
