For us, good cocktails, personal hospitality and music go together. The Halbestadt team led by Bert Jachmann, bartender and founder of the Liquid Market Festival, shares their enthusiasm for bar culture with you: with practical knowledge, stories from the scene and the joy of mixing together.

Our location

In a Viennese tram arch between Alsergrund, Währing and Döbling, the half-town combines classic bar culture with a relaxed club atmosphere. Our workshops take place in the middle of the cocktail bar and can accommodate individuals and groups of up to 20 people. An in-house music system and a DJ stand are available for parties. In the warm season, the outdoor dining area completes the offer. Dancing is expressly allowed.

Cocktail workshops: mix, taste, take away

After a welcome drink, you will mix three of your own cocktails under the guidance of our experienced bartenders. You'll learn about bar tools, practice shaking and stirring, and discover how ingredients, proportions and garnishes shape a drink.

There are also snacks, stories from the cocktail world and practical tips for your home bar. Finally, take home a bottled cocktail. The workshops last around three hours and are suitable for beginners, groups of friends and teams.

Private parties and corporate events

Whether it's a birthday, Christmas party or team event: We arrange individual group appointments and coordinate the process with you. Combine your workshop with a subsequent party or book the Halbestadt for your event regardless of this.

We plan drinks, music, catering and decoration by appointment. You can bring your own food or let us organise it for you. If the entire bar is used exclusively, there is no room rent; instead, we agree on a minimum turnover.
