The course with Betty was great fun. The technique was well taught and I was able to quickly achieve success as a beginner. The only downside: You need a lot of patience while waiting for the finished pieces to be fired.

I took a day course (4 hours) with Betty and I'm just absolutely thrilled - I'd love to give it 10 stars! Betty takes time for each course participant to individually address the respective personal projects - in doing so, she not only explains different pottery techniques, but also a lot of know-how about the craft. It definitely won't be Betty's last course!

Betty is a great instructor who shows enthusiasm for her craft. It introduces you to pottery work very well and, due to the small number of participants, it is possible to supervise each individual. Her studio is very bright and equipped with all necessary materials for a successful course.

Get to know Atelier Betty Montarou
After completing her product design & ceramics studies in Paris, Copenhagen and Halle, Betty worked as a product and furniture designer in Frankfurt for several years. At the same time, she founded her studio, in which she now dedicates herself to objects, spaces and rituals of everyday life with a high level of commitment to craftsmanship.
In addition to her own ceramic collections, she offers to process special orders from concept to development to production.
