ART-ION: painting courses near Cologne and online

Who are you and what is your mission? How did you discover your passion?

My name is Ion Sheremet. I am a freelance visual artist from the Rhineland and founder of ART-ION. My own original works sell internationally to collectors and art lovers, but my second great passion is to pass on this enthusiasm live.

I noticed early on how much power and relaxation lies in creative work. My mission with the event series FOR A DRINK! And Male & Mahle is about getting art out of rigid studios and bringing it into the middle of convivial, cozy places. I want to show people that there is a creator in all of us. My workshops are not about academic pressure or perfect lines, but about the experience: Switch off your head, swing your brush, enjoy good drinks and proudly hold your own work of art in your hands at the end of the evening.

What does your location look like and what is it equipped with? How many people can you accommodate in your location?

My workshops take place in carefully selected, stylish partner cafés and locations in the region, where a warm café atmosphere meets an inspiring after-work atmosphere.

I professionally cover and protect the tables on site so that you can develop completely freely without fear of stains. I bring all professional materials with me: from high-quality canvas to bright acrylic paints and brushes to painting aprons. Depending on the location, we work in relaxed, manageable groups of around 10 to 20 people, so that there is enough space for every guest and personal, almost family support is guaranteed.

What makes your courses special?

For me, a relaxed atmosphere after work meets genuine artistic standards and good taste. We work primarily with acrylic paints — a medium that, thanks to its enormous luminosity, quick drying and easy handling, is unbeatable for spontaneous, successful works of art.

As an experienced artist, I will guide you step by step from the blank canvas to the finished motif. You don't need any previous knowledge! While you get active with the brush, you'll enjoy good music, nice conversations and your welcome drink. My promise: No rigid lessons, but a nice break with a feel-good guarantee and a result that you are proud to hang on your wall at home.

Team events and private events: Do you offer private events and if so why are your events unique for groups?

Yes, my formats are ideal for private events — whether it's a team event, hen party (JGA), birthday party or Christmas party.

The special thing about my group events: Painting together brings you together in a completely natural, relaxed way. When blowing and designing, any hierarchical or everyday pressure is removed in no time. Groups particularly appreciate the mix of culinary delights (good drinks & treats from the catering industry) and the joint creative process. Each group member creates their own individual work of art or a big team motif — a lasting experience that remains a topic of conversation long after the event.
