About this class
Dive into the world of wine and forget everyday life for a few hours. Learn everything about the history of winegrowing as you walk through the historic vineyards of the princes. Enjoy fine wines from the vineyards around Saaleck Castle, where wine has been grown since 1298. Leave everyday life behind and enjoy an unforgettable wine experience in the midst of impressive nature and history.
Our Schloss Saaleck winery was first mentioned as early as 1298. Today, we cultivate a total of over 18 ha of vineyards organically. On the vineyards (up to 70% slope), we mainly grow white wines. The red wines mainly grow in the Saalecker Schlossberg vineyard. These vineyards are surrounded by a historic vineyard wall dating from 1719. The historic vineyard house “Kavaliershäuschen” stands in the middle of the vineyards. The winery building is located on the top of the mountain next to Saaleck Castle.
