Class description
Dive into a relaxed and creative evening with the “Weaving & Wine” workshop in Düsseldorf!
In a cozy atmosphere, you will learn the basics of weaving while you create your very own tapestry from a wide range of materials. Snacks and drinks, including wine, create the right atmosphere. In the end, you not only take home your finished work of art, but also the weaving frame. Let's get creative together!
In this course, you'll learn:
- Which materials are best?
- Fasten tension threads
- 4 different weaving techniques
- Make tassels
- Unchains of the web project
The workshop takes place here:
My small studio is located right on Friedenplätzchen near Lorettostraße in Düsseldorf Unterbilk. A really beautiful, urban area, which is also very worthwhile for browsing and shopping in the numerous owner-managed shops & boutiques. You can reach me in the backyard of Friedenstraße 36 - the house with the blue front door.
How to get there by train:
There are two stops in the immediate vicinity of the studio. On the one hand, this is the Kronprinzenstraße stop, 300 meters away (here line 707 goes to Düsseldorf Central Station in a few minutes) and the Bilker Kirche stop, 400 meters away (the 709 goes to Neuss, the main station, etc.)
How to get there by car:
Enter the above address into the navigation system and off you go. There are plenty of parking spaces available, but you might have to search for them for a few minutes, so plan an extra 10 minutes. During the week, you have to get a parking ticket, and parking is free on weekends.
