About this class

Do you need a creative break? Or would you like to gain initial experience with sound? Regardless of whether you've never had clay in your hand before or have already sculpted a few pieces,…

What you’ll do in the class

  • Procedure: The course takes place over a total of 3 days. On the first and second days, you model the sound. The clay then dries for two weeks and is fired for the first time. The third date is Glaze Day. When the weather is nice, we also do pottery outside in the garden by the pond.
  • Individual support: Regardless of whether you are an absolute beginner or almost a professional — I will look after you according to your needs and give you the guidance you need. In my workshop, you can vividly implement your own ideas or work on my suggestions under guidance.
  • Techniques and implementation: You will learn the basic techniques to produce simple ceramics using construction technology (without a turntable) — right down to the finished glazed work of art.
  • Small group: We work in a small group with a maximum of 8 participants, so that there is enough room for each individual.
  • Firing and glazing: For firing in an electric kiln (powered by green electricity), you can choose from many glazes in all colors. After the second fire, you pick up your finished works of art from the ceramic studio.

What is included in the class?

  • Individual instruction in a small group
  • Fully equipped ceramic studio
  • All necessary tools
  • Self-service coffee, tea, water and snacks

What to bring to the class

  • Clothing that can also get dirty, or possibly an apron (clay is easy to wash out)
  • Possibly Vespers for the lunch break on Saturday

Who is the class suitable for?

The course is suitable for beginners as well as advanced learners. Everyone who wants to enjoy creative hours and create unique ceramic works of art is welcome.
