Are you interested in pottery and would like to learn how to create unique clay models on the turntable? Then our pottery course in Munich North is the right place for you!
What is the process?
- In small groups of 4 to 8 people, you will have the opportunity to dedicate yourself entirely to turning the pottery wheel, feeling the meditative effect of sound and completing all the works yourself. In a third appointment, which we will find together during the course, you can glaze your works and thus accompany them until they are completed.
- We explain everything you need to know about sound and demonstrate the individual work steps
- That's when we start: With as much support as you want, we center the sound, break it up, work it up and lift the finished piece of clay down
- Each course participant works at their own hub
- Thanks to the course duration of 2 evenings, you have the opportunity to accompany your works as they dry. On the second date, we rework the works from the first meeting and complete them: turning off the floors, drawing handles, decorating with stamps, smoothing out the works and compacting plates.
- The third appointment takes place approximately 3 to 4 weeks later (included in the course fee). We'll find the date together during the course. At this point, your works from the two filming sessions have been fired once and you can choose from our wide range of colors and glaze all the resulting works. They are then fired a second time before they are ready for collection (or, if required, plus shipping).
Who is the course suitable for?
The pottery course in Munich is suitable for anyone who wants to spend a relaxing and creative time. Learning to make pottery has something calming about it and relieves you of all your everyday stress. You also don't need any special previous experience. We'll show you everything you need to make pottery on the turntable.
What is included?
This course includes everything you need: material, first firing, glaze and second firing. There are no additional costs (except possibly shipping the finished pieces).
For beginners and experienced users. Tip: Short fingernails make turning the disc easier.
Where does the course take place?
The pottery course takes place in our pottery workshop in Fürholzen in the north of Munich at Hetzenhauser Straße 9A.
