Prerequisite: 2-3 horseshoes, saddle-proof in all three gaits, regular off-road riding experience
Please note that we have a weight limit of 85/ 90 kg* for riders for the benefit of our horses. Ground work is of course possible without restrictions!
The theme riding weeks at Art.Quartier in Starkow offer you unforgettable horseback riding adventures through nature. Whether in spring, summer, autumn or winter — on every ride, you discover the season in a very special way. With varied routes along the Barthe and lovingly organized highlights such as Easter bonfires, moonlight rides or pumpkin food, an all-round special experience awaits you. The art.Quartier combines nature, art and passion for horses to create a unique holiday.

Easter ride:
Nature wakes up from its slumber in winter: Everything turns green and the forest is full of young blooming plants. On our rides along the banks of the Bartheufer, we discover woodruff, wild garlic and more.
Special: Herb collection in the garden and Easter bonfire with stick bread and herb quark
Solstice ride:
A very special time up here in the north! It is always bright and the sun twilight lasts until around 11 pm. We ride into the wonderful sunsets every evening.
Special: on the 21.6 moonlight ride until 23:00, followed by a campfire with a glass of wine or sparkling wine!
Crane ride: A very special natural spectacle! At this time of year, the air is filled with thousands of cranes, so with a bit of luck we can spot the birds of luck from horseback!
Special: Visit to the Kranorama in Günz or photo shoot in the evening light with cranes, e.g. at the Meiningen Bridge
Halloween ride:
It is slowly getting cooler and darker, the leaves of the trees glow in all colors and after the ride you are particularly looking forward to a cozy fireplace and a visit to the sauna!
Special: Pumpkin dinner by the warm fireplace, followed by a sauna!
How does this activity work?
A week to relax on a 2.5-3 hour ride every day and discover nature in a different way at any time of the year. Unique season special!
Riding program:
- 1 x 90 minute introduction to trail riding and horsemanship
- 5 x 2.5 - 3 hours half-day ride (including break time)
- 1x special event
Who should definitely take part?
The course is suitable for saddle-resistant riders who are confident in all three gaits and have regular off-road experience. Ideal for nature and horse lovers who want to experience relaxation, adventure and seasonal magic.

Accommodation and breakfast (including vegetarian options) can be booked directly at art.quartier. Saddlebag picnic, you can cook independently or in groups in the kitchens in the evening. On request, a hot dinner can be booked in addition
by car transfer to the nearest train station (Velgast) by arrangement.
