About this class
Even the ancient Romans loved floor coverings with colorful speckles. Ancient design is now celebrating a real revival. The Roman terrazzo look is the design trend of the year.
What is the process?
Whether it's bowls, flower pots or candle holders — we sprinkle the world the way we like it. In our 3-hour workshop, you will design your individual jewelry bowl, candle holder or practical coasters for glasses and cups from an environmentally friendly, gypsum-like composite material. Optionally, you can also design your individual decorative elements in a marble look or with gold leaf details. After a careful introduction to the most important processing techniques, you will start producing your very own terrazzo flakes.
Whether discreet and reserved or brightly colorful - it's up to you! Then cast your first own decoration project to familiarise them with the material. In this way, you are then optimally prepared to dedicate yourself to your final project. The choice is yours: pour 2 small elements or a larger one. We have molds for soap dishes, magnets, trays, business card holders, cans and much more for you!

You can choose between a larger object (jewelry dish, soap dish, etc.) or 2 smaller elements (candle holder, etc.).
What you’ll do in the class
After an exciting introduction to materials and techniques, you will design your
very individual terrazzo chips in your desired colors. You can then use these to create your very own decorative objects. As a test piece, we will water a beverage coaster together before you can try your masterpiece. After the foot, all objects are sanded and then sealed.
