What you’ll do in the class
- Arrive: Welcome with punch and gingerbread in the studio on Mangfallplatz, right on the U1 (Miesbacher Straße 3)
- Collect ideas: choose a motif, paper color and yarn or develop your own idea, with support on request
- Introduction: How to transfer your design, pre-stitch the holes and embroider on paper
- Embroidering: Implement your motif stitch by stitch in a relaxed way
- Frame and take with you: You frame your finished picture and take it straight home
Good to know:
- Unique: Your image will be as unique as you are — with your handwork, your colors and little quirks that make it unmistakable.
- Just decoration: Your picture is a real eye-catcher, but pure decoration. Construction paper can bleach in direct sun and does not tolerate moisture. A place without blazing sun and away from moisture is ideal.
- Safety: The needles are sharp. At the beginning, we'll show you how everything works. Please follow the instructions of the course instructor and only use material and tools as shown. You should be able to work independently with materials and tools while sitting according to instructions.
- Allergies: Do you have allergies or intolerances, for example to materials or foods? Please let us know before the course starts. Gingerbread may contain nuts and gluten. The list of materials and ingredients is available on request.
- Age: Our courses are aimed at adults. But you are also welcome over 16 years of age. Younger creative people may be able to participate by prior arrangement and accompanied by an adult.
- Photos: We sometimes photograph the course process and the finished works of art, without recognizable people and without names. If you don't want that for yourself and your work piece, just let me know. We will only take photos of you with your express consent.
- Wardrobe: You can leave your jackets and bags with us, but please keep an eye on them yourself.
- Access: The studio is on the ground floor, there is a small step at the entrance. The toilet is not barrier-free.
- Clarify in advance: Do you have a question or something we should know before the course? Feel free to let us know before the course starts.
