In the knife forging course, we forge a knife under guidance. Together, we will consider which form is feasible and feasible for you and then work together to create your masterpiece.
After an introduction to blacksmithing and exercises to perform and master the tasks, we move on to the final work piece. No matter what your wish is, as long as it can be implemented, we will forge it!
Regardless of whether it is a perfect knife made of steel or one with alder, we will produce it until it hardens. Steel and fire - with your own strength from every hammer blow, you create your unique knife.
What you’ll do in the class
We'll meet just before 10:00.
Then there is coffee in addition to a briefing and discussion of everything that is in store for you.
We then start with a safety briefing and work clothes in the forge + more detailed explanations of the tool.
We will then show you step by step how you can do everything and guide you to your result.
Everything else is in your hands, but of course we are always there for you and help if necessary or wanted!
Who is the class suitable for?
For everyone over 13 years of age.
The prerequisite is good physical fitness and no pre-existing condition that could hinder forging.
