About this class
In a relaxed atmosphere, immerse yourself in the interplay of light and shadow between leaves and sunlight, and dive into the depths of the forest. At the end of the course, you will take home a piece of living nature in your own work of art.
What you’ll do in the class
With a certain amount of abstraction, it is possible to capture the atmosphere of the forest without getting lost in details. We learn to represent the growth patterns of trees and other plants in a simplified yet credible way, to perceive and mix the countless nuances of natural shades of green that result from the interplay of sunlight and leaves.
The participants learn to represent light, shadow and depth through colors and tonal values, to indicate the movement of leaves in the wind and textures of bark and moss through the brushstroke.
In this workshop, acrylic paint is used. This water-dilutable paint is characterized by its versatility, as it can be used on a wide variety of painting surfaces, dries quickly and can be painted over again and again.
