Handpan workshop Munich for beginners with Benni Pfeifer

Dear Handpan enthusiasts and interested people, from now on we are offering a Handpan workshop for beginners once a month in the Handpan World showroom in Munich. Experienced percussionist and musician Benni Pfeiffer introduces you to the sound world of Handpan and gives you the most important basics for playing independently.

The magical sound of the Handpan has inspired me for many years and the combination of melody and rhythm simply offers great opportunities. I would like to share my enthusiasm and experiences with you.

What is the process?

In the 2-hour handpan course, in a relaxed atmosphere, you will get to know the wonderful instrument, the handpan, and get valuable inspiration to start playing handpan and learn independently. In addition to some theoretical information about the instrument (history, structure and moods), the workshop is primarily about playing and sounding together. I'll show you percussion techniques, tone sequences, rhythms and first melodies. No previous musical knowledge is required.

What makes playing Handpan so special?

The handpan is a very accessible and easy-to-learn, intuitive musical instrument. The interplay of movement and sound relaxes, makes you happy and you can express your mood. Get creative, enjoy the meditative sounds, dive in and find peace. But you can also play driving and exciting rhythms from all over the world on the handpan.
