Learn well-founded climbing with exclusive via ferrata courses

Our taster course in Boppard is the first step for beginners. Here you will learn the important basics of climbing via ferrata.

Whether you're a beginner or advanced — in our via ferrata school, you will learn basic climbing and safety techniques and gain basic alpine knowledge to safely travel on via ferratas.

What can you expect in our via ferrata course? Among other things, you will receive tour planning and meteorology, via ferrata history, difficulty scales and construction types, detailed material briefing including technical background information, grip and stepping techniques, risk management and safety systems, as well as detailed travel tips with the most famous via ferrata spots. After your course, you will receive our free via ferrata handout in the 2nd edition.

The ideal start is the climbing experience on the Middle Rhine via ferrata in Boppard near Koblenz. Here you dare to take your first steps on the rock, over ladders and along steel cables.

You will be supervised by trainers trained by the Alpine Club. In addition, we are certified safety trainers and rescuers by various umbrella associations (ERCA, IAPA or DLRG).

We carry out annual safety training courses on both via ferratas and regularly take part in continuing education courses offered by the Alpine Club Academy.
