About this class
In this 2-hour studio workshop, we combine sustainable repair with creative design. You'll learn the basics of Visible Mending and design custom denim patches for your own piece of clothing. In addition to scraps of fabric and classic hand stitches, we also work with textile dyes and special fabric markers to incorporate graphic elements, patterns or personal statements. In this way, repair is not hidden, but deliberately becomes a design highlight. In a small group with a maximum of two participants, I will guide you step by step in your personal design process.
The Workshop can be held in English and German.
What you’ll do in the class
• Welcome & introduction to Visible Mending
• Inspiration & choice of materials (fabrics, colors, markers)
• Create your individual patch design • Design with hand stitches, fabric paint or markers
• Attach the patch to the garment
• Conclusion & brief presentation of the results
Intensive, personal support is possible due to the small size of the group.
