You tense muscles in a certain way and release the tension again. Relaxation spreads within you as if by itself.

That means you're really doing something physically and don't have to imagine anything.

What you’ll do in the class

In 8 weeks, I will guide you step by step through the various uses of progressive muscle relaxation (PME or PMR) according to Jacobson. For everyday use and more relaxation in your everyday life.

  • First, I'll explain to you exactly why and how progressive muscle relaxation works so well. That's an extra motivation for you to stay tuned.
  • First, you will learn the basic form of the method until you can relax the individual muscle groups independently at home.
  • We'll find out when and where is the right time for you to relax in your everyday life.
  • Gradually, you will learn more variations in length and design (e.g. sitting, lying down, 5 - 30 minutes in length). At the end of the course, you will have found your individual exercise that is right for you and your everyday life.
  • We give the “inner bastard” treats so that you can stay tuned between course dates and beyond.
  • Each lesson is like a short relaxing break.

Who is the class suitable for?

For anyone between 17 and 87 years of age who are looking for a flexible relaxation method suitable for everyday use.

No previous experience required.

The restorative effect has been proven in particular for the following topics:

  • muscle tension (especially shoulders and back)
  • tension headaches (other than migraines)
  • inner restlessness
  • stress
  • indigestion
  • difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep

! A relaxation course is no substitute for therapy. If you have symptoms that require treatment and should avoid loss of tension, discuss your participation with your practitioner, if necessary. This applies, for example, to diseases such as depression, epilepsy, heart failure. By registering, you confirm your physical and mental health and release the providers from any related compensation claims.
