We are art tort — and we stand for artistic quality, creative diversity and projects that last. Whether it's a workshop, contract work or an individual art concept: We combine many years of experience, genuine passion and a high standard of design, material and implementation.

Artort was founded by Lena Ortmann, whose enthusiasm for large-scale wall art began during her studies — with a brush, spray can and paint roller. As a trained educator, studied special education teacher with a focus on art and has been a long-time lecturer in classical painting and drawing (in Cologne and internationally), she combines pedagogical depth with professional artistic practice.

Today, we work as a team of professional urban artists, graffiti professionals and art educators — many of us with university degrees and in-depth teaching expertise. Together, we create commissioned art for interiors, facades and objects as well as workshops and creative formats that bring people together and inspire them in the long term.

A real highlight is our own academy right in the heart of Cologne: an urban location on a factory site with around 100 square meters of space. Here we create space for creativity, exchange and genuine craftsmanship. Our workshops can be held both indoors and outdoors and offer a wide range of techniques — from graffiti and street art to classic painting.

In doing so, we develop tailor-made concepts with personal advice, attention to detail and the highest quality of materials — always with the aim of not only making art visible, but also tangible.
