Class description
The relaxation technique called forest bathing originated in China and is probably 2500 years old. Shinrin Yoku was rediscovered in Japan in the 1980s and loosely translated means “a bath in the forest air.” Forest bathing is supported by the state as a health precaution there, as it prevents states of exhaustion. Forest bathing reduces stress and brings you into balance. Self-healing powers are activated and body and mind can regenerate.
Forest bathing is the counterpart to constant accessibility, increasing pressure to perform and stress at work and everyday life. Through mindfulness in nature, you can experience deep relaxation and recovery. The aromatic forest air contains essential oils and has a health-promoting effect. Body and mind are strengthened and stress is reduced.
Gentle mindfulness exercises help to achieve more inner clarity and let go of thoughts. The various playful suggestions get creativity flowing and make for lots of fun. Your inner child gets more space to develop freely. You can follow your intuition and take a close look at every flower, every leaf.
Shinrin Yoku promotes health and helps strengthen teams. The group creates mandalas and other small works of art from natural materials. This promotes communication and harmonious cooperation.
The forest is full of sounds. Get inspired and join in. Every step you take can develop into a groove. Maybe you want to hum a melody or play a rhythm on a log.
Storytelling can be another facet. Various games stimulate the imagination so that wonderful stories can be told spontaneously. This also promotes the ability to speak in front of a group or to lead presentations. The production of natural colors can also be a highlight of an event.
After creative forest bathing, each participant receives a handout with various suggestions for mindfulness in everyday life, edited pictures from the course and a small gift.
You can choose the venue in Berlin or Brandenburg yourself. If there are over 15 participants, there is a division of the group. The small groups (7 - 15 students) are then led by several coaches. The program is designed according to your individual wishes.
