At the American Barbecue Workshop at the Metzgerei Gränitz shop, you will experience an American-style barbecue event.
Barbecue class in Chemnitz: What is the process?
A day of big cuts of meat, fire, steel and smoke. A smoker is also a must! That's why our grill master Jörg Staron brings his self-built StarOne smoker and will provide you with plenty of background knowledge.
Together with you, we prepare the “Holy Trinity of American BBQ” (i.e. the so-called “Holy Trinity” of American barbecue). These include spare ribs (pork ribs), pulled pork (pork neck or shoulder) and beef brisket (brisket). What used to be described as “poor people's food” has established itself over the course of history as an absolutely delicious classic on the grill scene. The secret of these hearty, tender delicacies is to prepare them at relatively low temperatures in wood smoke, which gives the dishes their typical flavor. In addition to the right starting material and good ingredients, this requires one thing in particular - a lot of time and patience! The reward is an incomparably flavorful and juicy result, which makes every barbecue enthusiast's heart beat faster.
